Purpose: This document provides step-by-step instructions for pre-configuring Calibrate with Tags and managing them thereafter.
Audience: This document is meant to be used by Account Owners who prepare their instance of Calibrate for other users.
Before you begin: A Tag is a keyword or term, assigned to an item, that helps describe the item and allows it to be found again by searching. Tags can be added to any Job Profile, Job Profile Cluster, Course or Award.
Assumptions: There is a list of common Tags your institution would like your users to use when creating items in Calibrate.
You can find the definition of the capitalized words used in this User Guide in the SkillsEngine dictionary located here.
Instructions:
Pre-configure Calibrate with Tags
1] After you log in, you'll be taken to your Calibrate Dashboard. Start by clicking the hamburger menu icon in the upper left of the page.
2] In the expanded menu, click Tags.
3] The Tags list appears. From here you can add, edit and remove Tags.
Add a Tag
NOTE: When adding a Tag, you can use lowercase letters, numbers, periods, spaces, forward slashes, parentheses, and hyphens. It's generally a good idea to keep Tags generic and short--less than 25 characters are best. |
4] First you'll want to check if the Tag you want to add already exists. You can do this by either scrolling through the list of Tags or just start typing a few letters of the Tag you want to add. Tags containing those letters will appear automatically.
5] If the Tag you want to add already exists, do nothing. Otherwise, finish typing the Tag and hit Enter. The Tag is added to the list alphabetically.
Edit or Remove a Tag
WARNING: Removing a Tag from Calibrate removes it from every item it is already associated to. |
6] Scroll or search for the Tag to remove.
7] To the far right of the Tag click Edit.
8] The Edit Tag modal appears.
9] To edit the Tag, edit the name in the Name text field and click Save.
10] To delete a Tag, click Delete Tag at the bottom of the Edit Tag modal
11] When the warning appears, click Yes, Delete.
