How do I set up a free developer account?
To activate a free developer account, visit https://accounts.skillsengine.com/users/sign_up. The free developer account includes 250 calls per month. These accounts are designed to enable you to test use cases to validate that our services meet your needs. How much does the SkillsEngine's API service cost?
Pricing is based on the number of monthly API calls. Production accounts are designed with high volume call rates in mind. The number of calls is unlimited and the price scales according to the number of calls actually made.
Overages beyond the pre-paid monthly API call volume incur a 10% per call premium billed the following month. Contact us for current pricing.
How do I purchase API calls?
Contact email@example.com. Let us know how many calls, billing address and who to send the invoice (first name, last name, phone number, email address). You will get a response within two business days.
Do API calls rollover to the next month?
No, API calls do not roll over month to month.
Can I get data other than the O*NET dataset from your API?
Yes. In fact, our data is a significant rework and expansion of O*NET data. We primarily use O*NET for their organizing structure. Our library started with a foundation that combined both O*NET elements and elements from our proprietary dataset, and then has been significantly expanded over the years.
Does your API have a parsing or assessment function?
Our API returns structured skills data for unstructured text input.
Does SkillsEngine allow on-premise deployment?
No. SkillsEngine's API is a SaaS based model.
How do I add users to my API account?
- Login to accounts.skillsengine.com.
- In the left navigation menu, click Members.
|NOTE: If you don't see the Members link, it means you are logged in as a member account instead of an admin account, and therefor do not have permission to add additional members. The person who created the account will have to be the one to add new members.|
- At the top of the page, click Invite a New Member.
- A form opens. Fill in all fields and click Invite. Make sure there are no typos in the email.
- The invitee will receive an email invite with a link to click. When they click it, they will be added to the account and will be prompted to complete their account with username and password.
