Purpose: This document provides step-by-step instructions for creating a new Knowledge Domain to add to a Job Profile in Calibrate.
Audience: This document is meant to be used by Job Profile Editors and Job Profile Reviewers who want to add a Knowledge Domain to a Job Profile that is not already in the Calibrate library.
Before you begin: Knowledge Domains are principles, bodies of content and facts generally applied within academic settings.

Instructions:
1] On the Skills tab of the Job Profile page, click the New Skills button in the upper right.
2] From the menu that appears, click Knowledge Domain.
3] The Create a new Knowledge Domain screen appears.
4] Decide on a Title that describes the Knowledge Domain. Titles are generally between one and three words long. Use the table below to help formulate the new Knowledge Domain.

5] Enter the Title into the Title text box.
6] As you enter the Title into the Title text box, the Similar Existing Knowledge Domains list at the bottom of the screen populates with possible existing Knowledge Domains.
7] Scroll through the Similar Existing Knowledge Domains list and see if the Knowledge Domain you’re trying to create already exists.
8] If it does, click the “+” to the left of it to add it to the Job Profile. You’re done. There’s no need to create the Knowledge Domain. Otherwise continue creating the Knowledge Domain.
9] Enter a brief description of the Knowledge Domain in the Brief Description text box. The description should include some detail about what the Knowledge Domain includes.
10] Click the Submit button. The new Knowledge Domain is added to Job Profile, as well as the Library to be used on other Job Profiles.
