Assumption: In general, Work Activities should follow this syntax:
Before you begin: Work Activities describe how major units of time are organized on the job. They are observable and produce results capable of being measured. They are jargon free so they are easily understandable.

5] Decide on the object. The object is the thing the verb is acting upon. It can be a word or a phrase.
6] Decide on an object modifier, if applicable. In this case, the object modifier is an adjective that defines or limits the object. It can be a word or phrase.
7] Decide on a statement modifier, if applicable. The statement modifier is a way of getting more specific about the Work Activity. It often involves the 5 Ws: what, where, when, why and with whom.
8] Start entering the Work Activity in the Title textbox.
9] As you enter the title, the Similar Existing Work Activity list at the bottom of the screen populates with already-existing Work Activities.
10] Scroll through the Similar Existing Work Activity list and see if the Work Activity you’re trying to create already exists in the Library.
11] If it does, check the checkbox to the left of the Work Activity that you want to add to the Job Profile.
NOTE: You can add more than one Work Activity at one time by checking multiple checkboxes. This keeps you from having to restart this process for each new skill you wish to add. |
12] If you checked at least one checkbox, click Add to add the skill(s).
13] If you still wish to create an Account skill, continue filling in the Title field.
14] Click the Category dropdown arrow.
15] From the Category dropdown, choose the category that provides the best fit for the new Work Activity you just created.
16] Click Create.
Note: After you create the Account skill, if you need to edit it, not only can you change the title, you can also change the skill type and skill category. |
