Purpose: This document provides step-by-step instructions for reviewing a Job Profile in Calibrate.
Audience: This document is meant to be used by Job Profile Reviewers to provide feedback on a Job Profile at the request of a Job Profile Editor.
Assumption: This document assumes this is your first time reviewing the Job Profile and therefore includes the brief onboarding steps from the invitation. If you’re continuing to review a Job Profile you previously started, log in, click on the Job Profile Title and continue as before.
Before you begin: Reviewing a Job Profile requires you to go through a list of skills, comprising the Job Profile, and give your rating as to how important that skill is to that Job Profile. In other words, how important is that skill in preparing a student for that job?
The skills that comprise a Job Profile are broken down into four categories:
- Work Activities: how major units of time are organized on the job
- Knowledge Domains: principles, bodies of content and facts needed for the job
- Soft Skills: behaviors, interpersonal skills and personality traits
- Tools & Technologies: machines, equipment and software used on the job
As you go through the list of skills, if you feel a particular skill is missing from the list, you have the option to suggest one to add to the list.
Reviewing a Job Profile is an iterative process, which means there's a chance the Job Profile Editor will request that you review their Job Profile more than once.

NOTE: There are two ways you can receive an invitation via email to review a Job Profile, which depends on how the Job Profile Editor invited you:
Steps for both methods are included below.
Invitation From an Internal Invite
1] If you receive an email that looks like this, click the Activate Your Account button within the email:
2] You're taken to the Calibrate login page with your name and email already filled in.
3] Go to step 11.
Invitation With a Special Link
4] If you receive an email that looks like this, click on the link within the email:
5] You're taken to the Calibrate login page which indicates the Job Profile you'll be reviewing.
6] Enter your First Name, Last Name and Email address. Your email address is your username.
7] Click the Get Started button. You'll see the screen below.
8] Check your email. You should receive a confirming email from SkillsEngine that looks like this:
9] Click the Activate Your Account button.
10] You're taken to the Calibrate login page with your name and email already filled in.
11] Enter a password twice. It must be eight characters or longer with at least one lowercase letter, one uppercase letter and one number.
13] Click the Start Review button. You're taken to the Reviewer Welcome page.
NOTE: You can see what Job Profile you'll be reviewing, along with a count of the skills in that Job Profile, in the Review Details section of the Welcome page.
14] On the right side of the Welcome page, in the Your Information section, enter your company or organization name in the Company or Organization Name text field.
15] Optionally enter your job title in the Job Title text field.
16] Check one or more checkboxes that indicate your role in the Select All That Apply section.
17] Click the Start Review button. You're taken to the Job Profile Review page.
Review Work Activities
NOTE: As you review a Work Activity, you have the option to assign it one of four Reviewer ratings:
18] For each Work Activity in the Unrated Work Activities list at the top of the page, decide what rating to assign it.
19] Hover your mouse over the three circles or the "x" in the Reviewer Rating column.
20] If the Work Activity is CRITICAL, click the right-most circle. If it's IMPORTANT, click the center circle. If it's BENEFICIAL, click the left-most circle. The circles will fill in to indicate your choice. If it's IRRELEVANT click the "x" to the left.
21] Once you assign a Work Activity a rating, it moves to the bottom of the page in the Rated Work Activities area.
22] If you want to change your selection after you rate a Work Activity, just click the undo arrow to the left of the Work Activity. The Work Activity moves back to the top in the Unrated list. Start the rating process over at step 18.
NOTE: If you just want to change the circle you selected, you don't need to click the undo arrow. Just the click the new circle you want.
NOTE: Once you rate a Work Activity and it moves down to the Rated Work Activities list, a new Unrated Work Activity will take its place in the upper list. This process will continue until you've worked all the way through the Unrated list.
NOTE: You do not need to assign every Work Activity a rating, although it is best practice to do so.
NOTE: You do not need to review the entire Job Profile in one session. You can stop whenever you like and save your work up to that point. To do that, click the Finish button in the upper right corner of any page. It has the same effect as "save."
23] If you want to jump around the Unrated Work Activities list, you can use the page controls to do so at the bottom of the list. The ">" advances the list ahead one page at a time.
24] You can also jump to a page by clicking on the down arrow and then clicking on that page.
25] When you get to the end of the Unrated Work Activities list and you feel a particular skill is missing from the list, you can suggest one by clicking the Suggest a New Work Activity button at the bottom of the page.

Review Knowledge Domains, Soft Skills and Tools & Technologies
26] To review Knowledge Domains, click the Next button in the upper right corner of the page and repeat steps 18 – 25.

27] To review Soft Skills, click the Next button in the upper right corner of the page and repeat steps 18 - 25.
28] To review Tools & Technologies, click the Next button in the upper right corner of the page click and repeat steps 18 - 25.
29] When you're finished reviewing the Job Profile or just want to take a break, click the Finish button in the upper right corner of the page.
30] The Complete Review page appears. You can do several things from this page.
31] You can see your progress in reviewing the Job Profile on the left side of the screen. A circle indicates an incomplete review in that category while a check mark indicates all the skills in that category have been assigned a ranking.
|NOTE: The progress bar at the top indicates what number of skills have been assigned a ranking as a percentage of all the skills that comprise the Job Profile|
32] You can continue reviewing the Job Profile by clicking the Edit My Review link in the Review Progress area.
33] To save the review and come back to it later, click the Finish Later link.
34] To invite another Reviewer to review the Job Profile, copy the link to the clipboard by clicking on the icon at the far right of the shareable link.
35] Paste the link into an email and send it to the Reviewer you want to invite. You should include a message explaining that you want their feedback on a Job Profile and they should click on the link to begin the process.
36] To complete the review, click the Complete Review button. The following appears.
|NOTE: Even though you completed your review, you can still continue to review the Job Profile and make changes to it.|
37] To edit the Job Profile review, click the Return to Dashboard button. This returns you back to the Job Profile Review page.
38] In the upper right corner of the Job Profile Review page, click the Revise button.
39] Go to step 18.
