It's time to create a Job Profile. Job Profiles represent the skills associated with specific occupations. They are the central focus of Calibrate! These profiles are living documents that can be customized over time in response to changing skill requirements.
First, navigate to the Job Profiles page by clicking on the Profile icon in the vertical navigation menu on the left side of Calibrate.
Click on the Create Job Profile button
Job Profile Information
Each Job Profile will display information at the top about the status, title, description, who the editors are, and the last time this profile was updated.
Job Profile Stats
As you edit a Job Profile, these data will update to show you the number of Work Activities, Knowledges and Soft Skills in the profile.
Job Profile Details
Now it's time to begin building the Job Profile by editing the details.
Enter a title for this Job Profile
Type in the desired job title, or closely related job title. This should represent a specific job you'd like to target for validation and alignment.
Enter a description
This is a general explanation of the Job Profile (similar to a job description).
PRO TIP - a description with a full sentence (or more) will help Calibrate provide better occupational suggestions.
Select Related Occupations
Click on any occupations you believe are related. Calibrate is suggesting additional occupations which might be related to the Job Profile that you are creating.
PRO TIP - Selecting related occupations will provide additional skills that may add value to your new Job Profile.
Choose up to 5 Blueprints that are related to your Job Profile. Blueprints are occupational templates that act like a springboard to help you create Job Profiles. Calibrate has more than 1,100 Blueprints.
PRO TIP - Don't see a relevant Blueprint? Try using the search bar to the left.
You can also search for Blueprints for specific occupations using the search bar at the top left of the application.
Click Finished and you’re done!
