Purpose: This document provides step-by-step instructions for resolving pending Course suggestions in an Award.
Audience: This document is meant to be used by Award Editors. Award Editors work together to ensure Awards include the Courses (which include the skills) necessary for the Job Profiles the Award is targeting.

Instructions:
Locate the Award
1] After you login, the Calibrate Dashboard appears. Click on the hamburger menu in the upper left.
2] When the menu appears click Awards.
3] The Awards list appears.
NOTE: There are three ways to locate an Award in the Awards list:

4] To use the search box to locate an Award, enter the Award title in the search box (Awards appear automatically).
NOTE: When you use the search box to find an Award, the list returned may be so long that you will have to use the page controls to locate it within the search results. If so, see steps 7 and 8 for more details. |
5] To filter by Tags, start typing a Tag in the Filter by textbox.
6] A list of Tags appears. Click on the desired Tag.
7] To use the page controls to locate the Award, you can either navigate through the list one page at a time using the page control at the bottom of the list by clicking the ">".
8] Or you can jump directly to a specific page in the Award list by clicking the down arrow next to the page number and then clicking the page you want to jump to from the list.
9] When you locate the Award that includes the Course suggestions you want to resolve, click it. The Award Dashboard appears.
NOTE: If the Award is in the published state, the button in the upper right corner will say Revise. If the Award is in the draft state, the button in the upper right corner will say Publish. |
Resolve Pending Course Suggestions
10] If the Award is in the published state, click the Revise button in the upper right corner. This will change the Award to the draft state and automatically increment the revision number. If the Award is already in the draft state, skip this step.
11] On the Award Dashboard page, scroll down to the Courses section.
NOTE: If you see an exclamation point icon to the right of a Course in the list, that means there is an available update to that Course. To make the updated Course part of the Award, click on the exclamation point and then click Update. |
12] Hover your mouse over the target Course. The outlink icon appears.
13] Click the outlink icon. You're taken to that Course's Dashboard in a new browser tab.
14] In the Summary section at the top, click the Resolve button. The list of pending skill suggestions appears.
15] Click a skill you want to resolve. The skill's details appear to the right.
16] To resolve the pending suggestion, click Accept or Reject.
NOTE: Skills are organized into skill categories. Skill category titles are in bold font at the top of each skill category with an up or down arrow to the right. As you go through the Pending Suggestions list, you may have to reveal the skills in a skill category by clicking the down arrow. |
17] You have the option to accept or reject all the skills in a skill category at one time. To do so, hover your mouse over the skill category title. A check box to the left appears.
18] Check the skill category checkbox. The skill category details appear to the right.
19] Click Accept or Reject to accept or reject all the skills in that category.
20] Continue through the list of pending suggested skills and skill categories until complete.
21] When you're done resolving all the pending suggestions, in the upper right corner click Finish.
22] In the upper right corner click Publish.
NOTE: If you don't publish the Course with the resolved pending suggestions, those skills will still show as pending when you return to the Award. |
23] Close the Course tab and return to the Award tab.
Update the Award
24] In the Award Dashboard, scroll down to the Courses section where you will see an exclamation icon next to the Course you just added a skill to.
25] Click on the icon and to the the right the Course details appear with a option to update.
26] Click Update. The exclamation point goes away.
27] When you're done resolving all pending Course suggestions, you can publish the Award by clicking Publish in the upper right.
